Cross the island to explore the west coast with a stop at Sagone which is located in the town of Vico! You pass by Ajaccio and you want to make an atypical visit? Explore the park At Cupalatta (which means turtle in Corsican)! On more than 2 hectares live nearly 3000 land and water turtles from all over the world. Something to amaze the whole family, including the dog!
To explore the Corsican coast what better than to do it kayak or even in paddle ? A historical visit? True symbols on the island, the Genoese towers (although they are not always original) line the Corsican coasts. These towers date from the Republic of Genoa and it is possible to visit them, in particular that of Campomoro for only a few euros and doggie can also be part of it. Located on the edge of the coast, you can take the opportunity to take beautiful walks and come across small coves to refresh yourself.
Speaking of refreshment, you can swim in the unsupervised areas of Sagone beach and for foodies stop at Pierre Gerronimi ice cream parlor (ice cream chef) who not only makes very good ice cream but is also dog-friendly. No ice cream unfortunately for Lucky (for his greatest dismay) but a bowl was brought to him! Corsica will also be an opportunity to make beautiful hikes because there are a lot of trails like the famous GR20 which requires rigorous preparation beforehand. I hope to have made you want to go to Corsica. For my part, I have already spent a few days there and it was magical. At the time I didn't yet have Musher but I'm sure she would love the natural pools of Solenzara in the Bavella region in the heart of the Corsican mountains.
