Overseas Forest Rural House

The Maison Rurale de Kutzenhausen is an old farmhouse typical of the Outre Forêt, that is to say the northern part of the Bas-Rhin, beyond the forest of Haguenau. It allows you to discover the habitat, the furniture, the way of life, the work of the farm and the craftsmanship (forge, cooperage, shoemaking, distillery, etc.) as they existed in the Alsatian countryside in the 1920s/1950s. Heritage Interpretation Centre, it regularly hosts contemporary art exhibitions. The visit is possible - without any particular constraint - by our four-legged friends who have access to all the rooms and buildings. We have been there twice with Capsule, our 9-year-old Breton spaniel who obviously felt at ease there, sniffing - like a good city dweller - the scents of the countryside!
