Lichtenberg castle

:

your dog is welcome here

Lichtenberg Castle is a medieval castle built on the foothills of the Northern Vosges. The period of construction and occupation extends from the XNUMXth to the XNUMXth/XNUMXth centuries. It was partially restored and "completed" in the XNUMXth century to make it a cultural center (temporary exhibitions regularly renewed, concerts and shows in summer) and heritage interpretation.
Living in the region, we had the opportunity to come there several times accompanied by our dog Capsule (9-year-old Breton spaniel). Dogs are admitted without any particular restriction except for the usual instructions: leash and cleanliness (provide your own bags). You can take them to visit the whole castle, including the exhibition rooms.
For catering there is a cafeteria (also accessible to dogs) as well as a few picnic tables, scattered in the grassy courtyard of the castle. The only place where your companion is (theoretically) not allowed will be the shop...
