Avoriaz ski resort – Alps

With our dog we often go on vacation to the resort of Avoriaz in the Alps.

Avoriaz is a pretty little resort in the Alps where dogs are welcome! You will enjoy your holidays in the huge Portes du Soleil ski area. In the station, we met many other dogs. Just as many cani-potos for our dog. I think he enjoyed his vacation as much as we did!

What we love about this station is that there are almost no cars! Only trackers and station members use motorized vehicles. For the rest, you can get around in horse-drawn carriages, magnificent draft horses roam the resort and drop you off from point A to point B. You can also get around on foot, on skis, by bike, etc. It's super relaxing! It feels out of the modern world...

In the resort, dogs are accepted on all pedestrian paths! It's a joy! Boule loves to roll in the freshly fallen powder... The resort has superb snow cover, we have never been disappointed... In the Avoriaz resort, there are always cani bags available, really practical for not having to go up with the dog in the apartment in case of forgetfulness 😉

Good to know: The gondolas, cable cars and free shuttles are accessible to dogs. For obvious safety reasons, they cannot use the chairlifts. From the resort, the hiking possibilities are unlimited! We hiked with our dog to Lac de Montriond. A delight for the eyes, the view is splendid! many other places are still to be discovered, that's good we're going back on vacation to Avoriaz next year!
