Capfun - canoe and paddle rental

:

your dog is welcome here

I went to Lac de l'Eau d'Heure with Layla (11 month old female border collie) and friends who also had dogs (1 Australian shepherd, 2 border collies, 1 shiba, 1 cavalier king charles, 1 border cross /Labrador).

We chose a 3-person kayak and 1 paddle so that everyone could try out both activities with their dog.

At one point we were 3 humans and 4 dogs in one kayak, and it went great! The presence of dogs did not pose a problem in any way and the people on site did not even ask any questions or show any reluctance regarding the fact that we were taking our dogs with us.

On site, dogs must be kept on a leash and cannot go to certain beach areas reserved for children.

When they are in the kayak or on the paddles there is no problem if they are no longer on a leash but as soon as we return to dry land, they must be reattached to avoid accidents with the children. nearby or the beach volleyball courts.

Wearing a harness is a plus if you don't have a life jacket, because if the dog falls into the water in the middle of the lake, the distance to swim can be very long and there are sometimes waves caused by the movements of small motorboats. It is easier to pull the dog up with the harness handle.
