Stage In The Forest

At wouafer's, welcome to the stage in the forest! With us, welcoming dogs is a matter of course. Our benevolence towards them will make you have a pleasant stay in Calvados in Normandy.

Your dog will be able to enjoy our domain and its unusual rentals in the middle of the forest with you!

Besides, we also have our little mascot at the estate: Noisette, an adorable 4-year-old golden who will no doubt be able to attest to the quality of the estate ahaha 🙂

Among the different types of accommodation on the estate, the terrace lodges (9 in number) are particularly suited to welcoming our canine friends. They offer a beautiful outdoor terrace in the extension of the living room which allows the animals to enjoy the fresh air in a private space with a breathtaking view of the Normandy nature.

Dogs and their families will be able to enjoy the 10 hectares of nature on site throughout their stay and the footpaths that cross the estate to the pond of the old castle located 5 minutes away on foot. But above all, they will be able to take the many marked routes that start at the foot of the site in pedestrian version (hiking/Nordic walking) or mountain biking.

The outdoor heated terraces of the restaurant are obviously dog-friendly and the food is very good there, with traditional Norman dishes, but also original dishes with Asian or Anglo-Saxon flavors (because the restaurant's chef is from England) .

Dogs and their families will be warmly welcomed by our reception teams (who also always have bowls, leashes, waste bags and other useful accessories in case they forget). The welcoming hosts will guide you and suggest many dog-friendly or dog-friendly activities in the area.

All dogs are accepted, one dog per rental.

The golden rule "all dogs must be kept on a leash on the estate" must obviously be respected so that other customers of the estate, and in particular children, can feel safe 😉

A supplement of 12€ per night will be requested for the doggie's stay.

The Domaine l'Etape en Forêt includes 24 individual lodges spread over 10 hectares of nature in the heart of the state forest of Saint-Sever-Calvados, in Normandy. These original lodges that inspire relaxation with friends or family are of 4 types:

– Treehouses (with or without private spa)

– Lodges on stilts (with or without private spa)

– Charbonnier observation lodges

– Terrace lodges

– Transparent bubbles

All of these unusual accommodations are equipped with kitchenettes, offer at least 4 beds and have a dedicated terrace.

Many activities are offered directly on site around the theme of nature & well-being, namely:

– Tree climbing

– Spa (Nordic bath and Saunas)

– Mtb

– Nordic walking & hiking (marked routes with departure from the site)

– Archery Game, bubble football

Finally, our estate has its own restaurant which offers a varied cuisine on the “short circuit and homemade” model as well as a large room for private events.
