Discover an atypical gîte with a "prehistoric cave" decor and a simple and friendly welcome in Saint-Genies. In the apartment, our dog friends are also in the "cocooning" for their greatest pleasure.

We love dogs and are happy to welcome them, we just ask that you leave the place as you found it and do not let the dog climb on the bedding 😉

No outside gate so leash required but nice walk out of the cottage where you can let go of your dog! The exterior is not secure. Doggies must therefore be kept on a leash, knowing that the establishment is near a road.

No supplement is required for the stay of the 4 paws!

In the Périgord, we have many footpaths. Our small village Saint Genies with its ocher stone houses and lauze roofs makes you want to walk. We have a pond near the village accessible with our friends. We are about twenty kilometers from the Dordogne and Vézère valleys where canoe trips are offered. Some tourist sites are open to animals, you have to inquire with the many areas.

Opinion of Ripley and his mistress, who stayed at the lodge in 2021: “Ripley was welcome, she was welcomed with pleasure. The only recommendation was to be careful of the hairs on the pretty black set but we plan ahead and always have a blanket and a brush for the hairs. It is a nice and atypical gite which accepts dogs in the Dordogne. No extra charge for the dog!

I offer unusual accommodation in the heart of the Périgord noir where it is good to come and spend an atypical evening. Between Sarlat, medieval town and the caves of Lascaux. I am open all year round in the center of the Bordeaux, Toulouse and Limoges triangle.

You are installed in a cocooning setting, detached from the usual constraints.

You will be invited to slip into a hot spa, after your relaxation, a Périgourdin meal awaits you in your accommodation. The menus are prepared in the style of my grandmother with products from local farms.

In summer, a swimming pool is available to enhance the warm evenings.
