Gîtes at Domaine Bibaud

At the Gîtes du Domaine Bibaud in Aude in Caunes Minervois, our friends the dogs and cats are admitted 🐾with pleasure!

We accept all dog and cat breeds, no age, gender or weight limits 😊

We are Gisèle and Ben, a young Franco-Australian couple, passionate about nature, adventure, renovation and animals...

But also Sayan, 🐶our dog born in 2021, Kelpie breed, hyper social, gentle, very playful & well educated; Then Sooty, our little Siamese cat😺 adopted, shy but cheerful, our great guardian of the vegetable garden; also Printz our adopted cat🐈‍⬛, extremely affectionate and cuddly. And to finish a flock of chickens🐔 and ducks🦆 which are free in the upper part of the Domaine during the day as well as quails🐦 but they are in cages, for their safety.

That is why we unfortunately only accept animals that are social with other animals & humans for the respect and safety of all.

We offer large estate of 5 hectares in the middle of the forest, quiet, a truly magical place. On the spot, two comfortable lodgings and our house. We are not far from amenities (3kms from the village with shops) and lots of tourist attractions (the medieval city of Carcassonne (where you can take your dog!), Cathar castles, vineyards, caves and chasms, splendid landscapes, the sea and the Pyrenees an hour's drive away...).

Personalized hiking trails are accessible from the area, the river is less than 5 minutes walk away and dogs can swim there as much as they want! In less than 30 minutes, the Cavayere lake where dogs can walk and more lake in Montagne Noire where you will find more freshness in summer.

Le area is not fenced, but the outdoor area of ​​the La Petite Luciole gîte can be closed (not secure however for runaway kids).

In the lodgings you will find, if you wish, a short homemade guide to “dog friendly” activitiesof the region, a plaid for the little one and for the cats a bed, a litter box (without litter, we let you take his favorite 😉 also some bowls & toys, sdroppings and a small shovel (in front of the gîtes is the forest and you can take your little one to the toilet there freely, the lawns must remain clean😊.

We will also prepare little arrival gifts for both legs and all four legs 😉

In the garden you will constantly find a doggy bar and a hose to rinse your dog after a walk or to refresh it.

We want to ensure that humans and their faithful companions spend holidays hand in hand 🐾 🙌🐾

We welcome you to the Gites du Domaine Bibaud located on a 5 hectare estate in a quiet and preserved location, at the foot of the Montagne Noire in the Cathar region in Aude in Caunes Minervois.

Seulement two lodgings exclusively on site (2 and 4 people maximum) and our house. A beautiful swimming pool and its shaded pergola which are to be shared, a large garden or you can walk, our vegetable gardens, our hammock corners and surrounding forest where you will find wild waterfalls.

🏡 A small, bright cottage, La Petite Luciole, very comfortable for two people with

• A very well equipped kitchen (fridge, microwave, hob, Senseo coffee machine, kettle, toaster and all utensils as well as some coffee pods, teas & infusions, sugar, salt & pepper, oil & vinegar)


• A bathroom with toilet and shower, hair dryer and soap kit


• A nicely decorated room, a high quality 140 bed for optimized sleep.


• A table with two chairs with a view of the flowered pergola


• Un nice outdoor space that can be closed with table & chair, deck chairs, barbecue, all decorated with flowers

🏡🏡 A cozy Gite, Balbonne, 75 m², for 4 people with view of the park and the forest:

• Un show with leather sofas, TV and a superb view


• Two bedrooms, one with a 180 cm bed, super comfortable, the other with two single beds.


• A Bathroom with bath/shower


• A very well equipped kitchen, with an oven, hotplates, kettle, toaster, Senseo coffee machine, all necessary utensils


• Coin private garden with a beautiful shaded pergola

🌱The Gîtes du Domaine Bibaud are located in full of nature, quiet and yet close to everything! They can be rented together or separately.

🏖 Open swimming pool 8x4m exclusively for our two gîtes only (humans exclusively), open from June to September.

So that the doggies are not jealous: Small dog pool available 🐶!

🥾Hiking trails all around the estate, river and waterfalls nearby, less than 5 minutes walk.

🎯 Board and outdoor games: molki, pétanque, Breton puck…

Free wifi access, little network coverage, take the opportunity to disconnect 🌳

🦉 Domaine Bibaud is also a refuge LPO (league for the protection of birds)

80€ per night (two nights minimum)

480€ per week in May, June, September and October

550€ per week in July (one week minimum, Saturday to Saturday only)

600€ per week in August (one week minimum, Saturday to Saturday only)

150€ deposit by check or cash

50€ optional cleaning fee

🏡🏡 The Balbonne cottage for up to 4 people:

150€ per night (two nights minimum)

960€ per week in May, June, September and October

1100€ per week in July (one week minimum, Saturday to Saturday only)

1200€ per week in August (one week minimum, Saturday to Saturday only)

250€ deposit by check or cash

100€ optional cleaning fee

For all reservations, a supplement of €2,20 per adult per night for tourist taxes which are paid directly to Carcassonne agglomeration.

The beds are made upon your arrival and we provide bath and pool towels as well as kitchen linen :)

We are open from May to October inclusive.

Stays are two nights minimum in May, June, September and October.

One week minimum and from Saturday to Saturday in July August only.
