Welcome with your dog to the Etenclin gîte in La Manche in Normandy.
Your pet is allowed throughout the house. Throws are available on request. We ask that you access through the back door in rainy weather. This opens into the spacious, tiled garage where you will find a sink, everything you need to wipe your pet's feet.
The 5 m000 park is partially fenced so it is not suitable for runaway dogs. You can put the droppings in the place provided for this purpose (near the hedge using a small shovel provided for this purpose). A small treat is offered. An exterior tap is proposed constituting a water point for a possible shower. Two veterinarians are in La Haye du Puits (2 kms). Others will be indicated in the accommodation including our appointed veterinarian who is located in Portbail. We have sellers for kibble in The Hague (Husse, la Maison.fr, supermarkets, etc.).
For your dog's stay, I simply ask you €10.

The Etenclin gîte is located in a very quiet hamlet on the edge of the Etenclin woods. A green setting, ideal for disconnecting with family, friends, couples or alone with your pet.
It is a spacious and very bright accommodation thanks to its two bay windows and available on one level. Access to the upper floor is not authorized (development project) and is blocked by security barriers.
You have the entire accommodation with the adjoining garage. Board games, outdoor games and books are available. The kitchen is fully fitted and equipped (crêpe maker, raclette maker, yogurt maker, etc.). Dishwasher, oven, refrigerator with freezer section, induction hob. Two bedrooms with double bed and an extra bed available free of charge. The rooms are prepared for your arrival. The bathroom offers liquid soap and shampoo. Towels and gloves are included in the price. The bedding is completely new. The exterior terraces are also recent. A 6kg washing machine is at your disposal as well as liquid detergent. Outdoor and indoor dryer. Outdoor table, deck chairs, parasol, barbecue are available. A first aid kit and a fire extinguisher are located in the garage. Household products are also available. Mobile WiFi. The television has channels via TNT. Electric roller shutters. The travel cot, new stroller, new bathtub, new changing mat are to be requested and will be provided free of charge. We care about your welcome and do everything we can to facilitate your stay. An ironing board and iron are at your disposal.
Do not hesitate to send us your suggestions to improve the stays for the following wouafer's. We want to welcome well-behaved animals. A cleaning fee is requested. We ask you to take charge of the cooking. Towels, gloves and sheets should be left in the room or near the washing machine. Water and electricity are included. Underfloor heating system with heat pump.

You can go for walks nearby. The Etenclin woods which belong to Mont d'Etenclin are private but walks are possible along the small road (with little traffic) from the exit of the gîte. You can access the Castre and Doville mountains less than 7 minutes from the accommodation. You can also take long walks on the beaches (around 10km) on the west side (Surville, St Germain sur Ay, St Rémy des Landes...) or swim in complete tranquility then on the landing beaches on the east side. The cottage is less than 20 km from Ste Mère Eglise. Some examples: Visits to the landing beaches. Museums of Ste Mère-Eglise and Utah Beach (Manche). The coast of Portbail and Barneville-Carteret with the customs officers' trails. The fortified castle of Pirou. The Hague (Siouville, Dielette, Vauville, Nez de Jobourg, Ecalgrain Bay) called "little Ireland" The City of the Sea of Cherbourg with its submarine "Le redoutable'. The famous biscuit factory "La Maison du Biscuit" of Sortosville in Beaumont and the Biscuiterie of Ste Mère Eglise. The island of Tatihou (you can go there on foot depending on the tides), Barfleur, Ravenoville. The Château des Ravalets with its large park (Tourlaville). We spent a weekend in this bright, very clean and very well equipped cottage. Everything is thought of by our hosts, so that we can have a pleasant time, even for our pets. Very good communication with Florence. It's not just a cottage, it's a warm welcome, as if we were welcomed into the family. Feeling that Florence and David manage the cottage, with a state of mind of wanting to receive “friends”, for pleasure, before the financial aspect. We will come back and HIGHLY RECOMMEND. Nadia.joel
