Tahiti - The Grande Côte

:

your dog is welcome here

We rented a mobile home in this campsite on a human scale, quiet, very pretty with flowers and trees.

We were accompanied by Lego (Border Collie cross). We appreciated the warm welcome, the closed and semi-covered terrace of the mobile home, so Lego was able to stay outside.

On arrival we were asked for a certificate of civil liability insurance. Rules to follow: the dog must be kept on a leash in the campsite, he must not be left alone in the mobile home.

We have paid a dog supplement of 3€ per night during the week of the ascent.

At the exit of the campsite there is on one side a forest, ideal for short walks, and on the other side the ocean which is bordered by a cycle path and a pedestrian path: the coastal path, very nice walk along the coast.

On hot days, Légo enjoyed hiking in the La Coubre forest (which stretches from Saint Palais to La Tremblade), as well as walking and swimming on the beach at La Pointe Espagnole.

We traveled the coast from Royan to Talmont sur Gironde via Meschers where we visited the troglodyte caves of Matata (dogs on a leash accepted).

We also went to the Seudre estuary. We took a tourist train (dogs accepted and free journey): the Train des Mouettes which goes from Saujon to La Tremblade. We visited the very typical village of Mornac. Lego took the opportunity to cool off in La Seudre.

Finally we went to the restaurant Le Cayenne in Marennes (19 rue du port La Cayenne) where Lego was very well received.
