Portrait of Amandine and Roxx – Epicurean Dog-Reporters
The Dog-Reporters team is growing! Today I present to you Amandine and her dog Roxx. With these two adventurers, every day is a trip! So I let you get to know them through their portrait Wouafement Bien!
Amandine and Roxx: two epicurean travelers
Hello Wouafer's, my name is Amandine, I'm 30 years old and I come from Firminy, right next to St Etienne. After a few years as a Management Assistant in a company specializing in Renewable Energies, I ended this job and started my own business as a Community Manager. Passionate about photography, I also worked extra, on my own, as a photographer specializing in Family/Pregnancy/Birth.
With my companion, we had wanted a dog for a long time, but we were waiting to be settled and to have time to devote to him. After a few weeks of research, we found a farmer who gave puppies near the Haute-Loire. Roxx was the only one of his color (white/brown) while all his brothers and sisters looked exactly like their mother (black/tan). So we fell for him.
That's when Roxx, born on 15/08/2020, came into our lives. He has therefore just turned 7 and a half months at the time of writing to you. Roxx is a unique dog, his breed is unknown to me because I have only seen his mother, a little border collie already well crossed but no trace of his dad… Roxx already exceeds his mum in height, which leads us to think that his dad was a dog bigger than a border collie.
This little foufou is a real electric battery and is very playful, he must have inherited the character of the border collies! He is also very cuddly and loves to lick all the dogs he meets. His little fox head is well worth his name: he always made us think of Rox in Rox and Rouky.
He makes us laugh so much because he is very curious. His favorite activity is therefore… eating everything he finds. Especially wood, he loves wood! His curious character pushes him to make holes, in our garden for example: a real minefield if you could see that! Just like us, he loves to walk and trudge everywhere!
For some time now, Greg (my companion), Roxx and I have ditched everything (house, work) and left the Haute-Loire to take a tour of France in our converted van.
Dog-friendly destinations to discover
Roxx is still just a puppy! Also, his adventures began with the start of our road trip through France. For the moment, he could see the snow at Chamonix and Super Besse then the sea in the Var. We were able to realize that he didn't really like water ^^. He also discovered the Camargue and all its birds. Roxx was crazy!!
This roadtrip allows us to do a lot of hiking. We also tried to introduce Roxx to running. For now, his favorite thing is to travel.
Unlimited motivation for Amandine and Roxx within the Dog-Reporter program
The desire to become a Dog-Reporter came from an observation that it is difficult to find suitable places that accept our doggies. I came across this site while browsing the internet. TakeTonDog.com. I found the concept just great!
Today I am joining the program because I want to be able to show people who have dogs that they can take them to many places, you just have to know where to go and where to find out beforehand. Regarding the second point, if you read me, you already know the solution 😉
You can follow our tour of France in a converted van on our blog “Never forget” as well as our Instagram account @_never forget_.
On Instagram, I publish pretty photos of our adventures and share our good addresses. The purpose of our blog is to be able to follow our journey in real time, to know where we are, but also to share advice / tips with you.
