Chain Trail – Moustiers-Sainte-Marie

Superb hike on the Sentier de la Chaîne starting from Moustiers-Sainte-Marie in the Alpes-de-Haute-Provence. You have to take the path to the left of the cemetery which is in the car park at the top of the village. Follow the yellow markings to the sign indicating Sentier des Chaînes. The signage is very good.

Hike reserved for experienced walkers with a sporty dog. Good shoes are required because the path is slippery and there are many stones. I do not recommend the hike in sunny weather because there is a large part without shade, not great for kitties.

If you feel like an adventurer and your physical condition is good, you can continue and make the loop to reach Moustiers via the Notre Dame de Beauvoir chapel. Magnificent landscapes guaranteed!
