Cirque de Mourèze – The mountain of Liausson

I share with you a great hike to do with your dog: it's the Cirque de Mourèze hike on the Liausson mountain, in Hérault.

Departure point: Parking des Courtinals (paying), D8 Le Village in Mourèze or parking Mourèze (free in low season)

Dogs must be kept on a leash. Plan to take water for you and your dog(s). Please bring a poo bag and a garbage bag, there are no garbage cans on the hike.

You have two possible paths, both are marked in yellow:

1. The first route "Sentier des Courtinals" (starting from the Courtinals car park)

Elevation - 91m / Elevation + 91m / Distance 2,5km. Accessible to children. You will have a breathtaking view of the Cirque de Mourèze and the Liausson mountain.

2. The second course "Randonnée du Cirque de Mourèze" Elevation - 422m / Elevation + 422m / Distance 7,5km. Plan between 3 and 4 hours of walking. With the ascent of the mountain of Liausson you will have a magnificent view of Lake Salagou. For the more adventurous among you, you have the possibility of joining one of the hikes in Liausson, from then on follow another markup because it is another hike. (normally everything is well indicated, if in doubt call the tourist office).

If you arrive at the town of Mourèze, you will be able to see the ruins of the Château Lauzieres. Please respect the place.
