Walk and swim at Naussac Lake

To the north of Lozère and very close to Ardèche, the Naussac lake is a very quiet and ideal place to let your dog go freely, without a leash and without danger.

We went in the middle of July 2017 with our 3 year old Swiss Shepherd who is obsessed with water and she spent the afternoon swimming.

It is a calm and uncrowded lake. There are several accesses to the lake, we followed the direction of the "log of wood" campsite then the signs indicating "lake". The roads are sometimes dirt with a few potholes but we got through without any problem with our Toyota Prius which is quite low.

If you arrive via the village of Naussac, avoid parking in the first car park because there are a lot of children and families, and dogs are not always looked upon favorably on the equipped beach, but around the lake is quickly done by car and there are plenty of paths where you will be quiet.
