At the Chat Loupe gite, our friends dogs, cats, etc. are welcome, regardless of size or race and to a maximum number of 4 in relation to the area and for the comfort of all.
We come (my husband and I) from the world of animal protection with 20 years of experience, we love animals and it is our passion. And we also have several dogs, ours and the little ones protected in care time, etc. (which will not be in direct contact with the doggies of our tenants).
If we say dogs, cats, etc. welcome, it means that we provide equipment for them at the gîte in order to pack lighter suitcases for their humans 😉 So it's comfort sleeps (carpets or plastic baskets with plaids), bowls (water / kibble), a kibble container to put these out of truffles, greedy darlings or preserving resources with food (we avoid risks), toys, … For our friends the cats: sleeps, bowls, but also litter boxes (without litter it's up to you to bring the one that your feline loves), a cat tree, scratching post. We even have a parrot or large bird cage.
We provide plaids to cover the sofa / armchairs entirely.
All blankets are systematically changed and washed on each exit/arrival, for everyone's comfort.
We provide a specific bin and poop bags in the lawn garden for a clean lawn area.
The 2 private outdoor spaces of the Chat Loupe gîte are not shared with another gîte. All outdoor spaces (private or agility relaxation ground) are completely secure, we have fenced off with walls, rigid panel fences with concrete plate bases to prevent digging dogs from digging and running away. The heights of the walls and fences vary between 1,65 m and 2 m.
The fence in rigid panels of the terrace is lined with a bamboo reed on the inside and a vegetated hedge on the outside to avoid too much stimuli for some hairy people.
We can provide specific equipment at the request of masters such as: a varikennel (indoor cage to secure a puppy during absences with positive use, we explain).
In the laundry area, you will find a first aid kit for first aid but also brushes, combs, tick removers, etc.
We (my husband and I) have followed specific training and are holders of: Certificate of dog/cat capacity, animal first aid level 1 and 2, certificate of aptitude for categorized dogs, Transport of live animals, which allows us to provide advice on request from our tenants.
Our motto is that if dogs bark it's their way of expressing themselves, don't worry about that.
We have made sure that human families and their faithful companions have a holiday hand in paw 🙂

Ideally located on the Emerald Coast between Saint Malo / Saint Brieuc / Dinan, our Chat Loupe cottage is a seaside cottage, nestled in the bay of La Fresnaye, whose beaches, coves and ports have unrestricted access all year round. the year for our dog friends, that's also why we chose this place. Walks on foot along the seafront or inland (the walk of the Templars, etc.) from the gate of the gîte terrace. All shops 5 minutes by car.
Here you can recharge your batteries, stroll, visit, discover or relax with your faithful companions.
Our cottage is located a few steps from Cap Fréhel one of the highest cliffs in Brittany, Fort la Latte (garden and castle), Saint Cast le Guildo, Sables d'or les pins and its lagoon, Erquy, Saint Jacut de la sea and its Ebihens, Dinan, Dinard, the banks of the Rance and its pretty little villages, Saint Malo, … on the seafront or on land, plenty of things to do.
The Chat Loupe cottage is located in a stone farmhouse and was completely renovated in 2020/2021.
Labeled Gîte de France 3 ears of corn at the end of 2021, it is comfortable, cozy and well equipped for humans (young and old) as well as for our dog and cat friends.
It is open all year round, summer and winter, with central heating, a large fireplace and a wood-burning stove for evenings by the fire.
From the terrace of the cottage you have direct access to walking trails including the GR34, the sea view 150 m on foot, 700 m the wild beach open to our dog friends all year round (like all other sea access of the bay, Port Nieux, Port Saint Jean, Les Moulins de la mer, etc.).
All shops 5 mins away on Matignon (its famous market every Wednesday morning all year round) or Fréhel (5 mins too).

We had a great holiday in the Chat Loupe gite, with our 3 dogs.
Everything is done for the serenity of the tenants and the safety of the darlings.
Spacious rooms, tastefully decorated, top-notch equipment.
The region is magnificent.
Laetitia and Ludo are available and attentive.

The cottage is an old house completely renovated with great taste. Very well equipped with upgrades planned including a larger enclosed area for the dogs to romp around in safely.
Equipment provided for the comfort of our friends and to lighten the luggage (baskets, bowls, toys, protection of the armchairs). Finally a place that takes into account our love for our darlings and meets our expectations.
And thanks to Laetitia and Ludovic for their warm welcome and their desire to improve.

We loved our stay!!! Old house completely renovated this year, belonging to a group of 3 houses including that of the owners, who themselves have several dogs (they are not in direct contact with ours). Isolated location, very quiet, but close to shops 3-4 km away! Walking path leading to the sea right on the doorstep! There are baskets, cushions, toys, bowls, protections for the seats (we preferred to double them with ours for safety). However, dogs are not allowed to go upstairs where the 2 bedrooms are (child safety barrier) There is an area in front of the house with a terrace and a small lawn for urgent needs, with a trash can and bags available A larger space allowing dogs to run and have activities must be set up soon with even the possibility of entrusting them for 1 night to Laetitia and Ludovic! At the back, a large courtyard for rest. I recommend +++++++++++

Hello, we spent a very nice week at the “l’antre de bay” gîte in the Côtes d’Armor. Extremely well equipped for up to 4 dogs and cats too! The hosts are very attentive and considerate, I would like to recommend them!

We simply fell in love with the area.
The cottage is very beautiful, nicely decorated and very comfortable (we were 4 adults and 2 dogs). It is also very well equipped, we lacked nothing and a lot of things are placed there for our comfort. We also appreciated the things put in place for the welfare of the animals. Our 4-legged friends were delighted to play with the toys provided or to rest in the baskets. The cottage is also in a great location. You have a multitude of things to do to satisfy everyone plus there is a quiet beach just 10 mins walk away.
We recommend the restaurant La Ribote, the Cabane du Pêcheur and the Crêperie in the village of Saint Alban.
We will come back for sure, especially since the welcome is great from the owners.

Wonderful gite and stay that I have dreamed of for months. Everything is perfect, pleasant and well decorated. Nothing is missing.
Time passed too quickly and I would have stayed… 1, 2, 3, 4 more weeks!

One week is way too short...
We had a perfect week at Chat Loupe gite.
The perfect and ideal place for humans and their pooch.
Oggi our labrador was able to take advantage of the gîte as if he were at home, without forgetting the walks and the swimming of the
surroundings that have also made us his humans happy.

There are places that we would like to keep secret. The Chat Loupe gîte is one of them. Is it still really necessary to praise it on this or that social network? The 2024 calendar is already almost full for the summer season and it is with regret that we note that we will find it difficult to reserve two consecutive weeks. We will have to reproject to 2025. These holidays were the ones we wanted. The cottage is very comfortable, tastefully decorated, humans and animals are at home there. First of all a big thank you to both of you, Ludovic and Laetitia, it was a magnificent week at your place, the “Chat Loupe”, gîte or rather beautiful house with all comfort better than at home ☺ ☺ Mr. VADHOR came held wonderfully here, in town or on the various wild beaches. It is known that Brittany is beautiful. I came to the area 20 years ago, when you’re young you don’t look the same way (lol). Pierre and I are ready for a return to school full of ideas. You are super well located, close to superb walks, visits to towns and villages. I love this wild side! And a big thank you for your trust, our Vadhor had a blast and met some lovely people both in town and on the beaches, the rascal, he felt at home, most often lying on the tiles !! ☺ after all these emotions experienced. That's it, it's over and it is with a sad heart that we are leaving again for Belgium. We loved our stay everything was perfect yes perfect. Very beautiful cottage, very well thought out and decorated with great taste. The location of the cottage is ideal for numerous walks and discoveries. We thank you for this wonderful week of vacation. For a month of October, the weather was on our side: meals outside and walks in T-shirts. Our 4 furry little ones: Kiara a bobtail granny, Jetho a bobtail grandpa, Cléo a mini spaniel and young Dawa a little Tibetan terrier, really appreciated all the little touches in their honor. The region is super beautiful and we took the opportunity to take beautiful walks: Cap Frehel, Fort la Latte, Erquy, etc. The gîte is comfortable and well equipped. We really enjoyed the stay. “A big thank you for your welcome and availability, we had an excellent relaxing stay, the gîte was extremely comfortable and clean and won us over. The dogs Sandy, Minnie and Holive felt relaxed and at home. The proximity of the lodge to the GR34 is a plus. And we were able to enjoy the region with this beautiful sun all week, everything came together for a pleasant stay. The icing on the cake: a magnificent agility course for girls to relax and enjoy. Sandy, injured in the leg, was unfortunately not able to benefit much from it. Finally, they, like us, had a very good holiday thanks to you. Everything was perfect, don't change anything. A superb stay as always. A cozy little nest for humans, great comfort for Mr. Naiko who also discovered the agility field: a great discovery who did not know the interest of the tunnel but clearly understood the presence of the moles 😉 We have takes great walks. This area is so wonderful. I can go to the same place 10 times, it’s always unique: light, colors, smells, sounds… It feels so good at your place. Little piece of heaven. We'll come back soon, I hope.
