Beauval Park Zoo

With our dog, we recently visited the Zoo Parc de Beauval in Saint-Aignan in the department of Loir-et-Cher, in the Center-Val de Loire region.

Beauval zoo has been ranked among the 5 most beautiful zoos in the world! Just that ! And it doesn't surprise me at all that we enjoyed our visit. The zoo extends over more than 40 hectares, you can discover more than 800 species, each more surprising than the next. During your visit, you can discover giant pandas, koalas, cheetahs, elephants, giraffes, gorillas etc. We were really impressed and my dog ​​too. It's really a wonderful opportunity to be able to approach these animals so closely and in such good living conditions!

Recently, the zoo inaugurated the equatorial dome, a huge glass structure housing more than 200 species. The park is beautiful and wooded! We were able to introduce the different species of animals to our dog, it was great.

For your dog, it is imperative to provide water and especially to keep it on a leash throughout the visit. Admission is allowed to dogs but be aware that the zoo is not a place for our dog friends to walk. He will be surrounded by wild animals, so it is very important not to take your eyes off him, it is for his safety and that of all the animals in the zoo.

In the Beauval zoo, several areas are forbidden to dogs.

– greenhouse of birds,

– greenhouse of great apes

– the vivarium,

– the greenhouse of gorillas and manatees

– The Australian greenhouse

– The Nuage de Beauval gondola,

– The hippo reserve

– The space of pandas with, in its continuity, arctic wolves and brown bears.

If you want to take advantage of a complete visit to the site, the Beauval zoo park has everything planned since you can leave your dog in a pretty little canine boarding house located a stone's throw from the zoo. It's a great alternative for the few oblivious dog owners who leave their dog in the car risking heat stroke!

The visit is therefore authorized for dogs but if you want to do it in full, then you will have to separate yourself from your doggie for a few hours 🙂
