Ramparts and Citadel of Entrevaux

:

your dog is welcome here

Max our 19 month old Doberman was able to accompany us throughout the visit to the citadel of Entrevaux. Within the ramparts all dogs are welcome (both small and large are petted, complimented, etc.). A large number of garbage cans and waste bags are provided and therefore allow travelers accompanied by their four-legged friends to preserve the state of the village within the ramparts. Travelers are invited to keep their dog on a leash during the visit of the citadel which is located at the top of the village surrounded by the ramparts. The visit to the ramparts is free except for the part of the citadel (3 euros per person and free for doggies). You can therefore stroll through a typical village in the south of France. The village is decorated with many fountains that will allow you to hydrate your four-legged friends (and given the heat in summer it is preferable!). To visit the citadel, you will have to take the only access path, created by Vauban and cover, on foot only, 800m of paved path, divided into 9 ramps and 156m of drop. You will find dungeons, dungeons and underground passages within this fortress (please note that access to the underground passages is via stairs or rather metal ladders, so you must plan to either carry doggie on your back for the descent or go your way ).
