Walk on the famous Sainte Victoire site: the Bibémus quarries
Today, I give the floor to Mathilde, Ninja and Pawan, Dog-Reporters for EmmèneTonChien.com. They take you to discover one of their favorite places: the Sainte Victoire mountain located in Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur not far from Aix en Provence.

When I need a real moment of relaxation and nature, I go to Bibémus careers, located just a few kilometers from the district of the rotunda from Aix-en-Provence. On site, I have a multitude of hiking possibilities to do with my dogs. There are many paths, nooks, groves and of course breathtaking scenery.
Through this article, which I hope will make you want to escape, you will discover this fabulous place and maybe we will meet there one day if I make you want to go hiking with your dog at the Sainte-Victoire!
Access to the Sainte-Victoire site with your dog
From 7 to 77 years old, the Sainte Victoire massif is accessible to everyone, you don't have to be a top athlete to take full advantage of this site.
Dogs of all ages, small or large, active or lazy can have a great time in total freedom on the Massif de la Sainte-Victoire.
On foot, by bike, on horseback, you will adapt your itinerary according to your desires. The different routes are very well indicated so there is no risk of getting lost!
Personally, I go there regularly with friends or my family, my dogs particularly appreciate the richness of the place.
Un large car park will allow you to park there for free during your walk: the Bibemus car park.
If your dog loves the outdoors and friends, this is the perfect place!
La Sainte Victoire: an exceptional setting
At the beginning of the walk, it looks like a walk in the forest, and the more you progress on the hiking path, the more the landscape changes and becomes impressive.
There is a particular place that really leaves me speechless, when I'm there, I stop for long minutes to contemplate and breathe a breath of fresh air.
To get to this famous point of view, I always take the same path and I come across it automatically.
When I arrive, once parked in the Bibemus car park, I start my walk with my dogs, I then come across an intersection with different possible paths, I head to the left and I follow this path, very quickly I arrive on the magnificent spot on my right.
All along the walk, the view is sublime, our eyes go directly to the magnificent Sainte-Victoire mountain.
For the bravest, you can continue the walk for a few kilometers and come across the Bimont dam.
A dog-friendly site
I think the majority of dog owners living in Aix en Provence and its surroundings know Bibémus. When I go there with my dogs, we meet a lot of other dogs, each friendlier than the other. It's a good time to meet canines and talk about our wonderful furballs.
Sometimes I meet people with their dogs and we continue the walk together, that's how, little by little, small walking groups are formed.
If I had to recommend a place for a walk near the city center it would be without hesitation this one, humans and animals find their happiness there. However, don't forget to take with you a travel bottle to make your dog drink during the hike and manure bags so as not to leave any trace of your passage. 😉
