Day 2 - La Barre de Monts

The morning program:
- A 6,5 km hike to discover the Pey de la Blet national forest. You will have access to a belvedere overlooking the entire pine forest! With a view of the islands of Yeu and Noirmoutier, as well as the beaches of the Pays de Saint Jean de Monts. It is a loop of approximately 2 hours accessible to children and dogs, but not to strollers. You can park at the Fromentine lighthouse car park, route des voiliers (limited to 3 hours of parking). - Snack or aperitif facing the sunset at Théo Spot. This bar in Saint Gilles Croix de Vie (34 min drive), by the ocean, accepts calm and sociable dogs. In fact, there are often several doggies at this address, known in Vendée for being dog-friendly. Take a little walk around the port, it's great.

Day 3 - Nature day

- stroll through the streets to discover the old half-timbered houses built between the Middle Ages and the Renaissance. You can continue to the medieval towers of the Lantern, the Chain and the Saint-Nicolas tower

Your dog will be allowed on the outdoor courses but not inside the castle. The same goes for strollers: the castle stairs make their passage impossible. You can picnic on site!
- Be one day at Puy du Fou ! It is almost unthinkable to spend a week's family vacation in Vendée without going to this park... Unless you want your vacation to be 100% dog-friendly. In fact, your dog will not be able to accompany you there, but there is a dog boarding right at the entrance to the park.
