Castle of Sainte-Suzanne

We toured the Château de Sainte-Suzanne in Sainte-Suzanne-et-Chammes in Mayenne with our two dogs. It's magnificent!

Dogs are allowed in the medieval town without any problems. However, the castle and fortress are a different story; dogs are tolerated on a leash in the courtyard at the entrance, but they are not permitted inside the castle or fortress.

However, here's what we did: A lovely 5km loop from the castle to a beautiful viewpoint overlooking the castle (as seen in the photo). The walk takes you past watermills and along the river. It's a very nice loop, and dogs are perfectly welcome! You'll be able to take some great photos!
