Château de Saint Fargeau: your dog is welcome here
Paco, a 10-month-old Labrador puppy, accompanied us on a trip to the Burgundy countryside. We visited the grounds of the Château de Saint Fargeau in the Yonne region. Since Paco doesn't fit in a carrier, we knew our visit to the château would be limited to the inner courtyard and the park.
Dogs are allowed outside but not inside the castle.
Upon arrival, everyone received a charming welcome. We explored the house and the impressive grounds. We set off for a stroll in the park, where you can walk around the pond in 30 minutes or the groves in 45 minutes (our walking pace with Paco running around everywhere). We ended up spending an hour in the park, then one of us went to visit the inside of the castle, sharing the tour via video call with the other who stayed outside with Paco. The castle is magnificent with its impressive architecture. Inside, you can discover different styles. A must-see if you're in the Yonne region with your dog.
