Panoramic of the Domes

To climb the highest volcano in the chain of Puys, namely the Puy de Dôme, you have the option of taking one of the trails of approximately 6km or taking the journey by electric rack railway with the Panoramique des Dômes.

Journey time: 15 minutes. With Fidji, a medium-sized dog, we took the train up and walked down along the goat path. Beautiful views awaited us! Magnificent scenery!

Dogs are allowed on board the train. The ticket price for a dog is €4,30 (2021). We were not required to muzzle our dog. Dogs are allowed on the various trails at the summit and in the surrounding area, provided they are kept on a leash. The trails are very pleasant.

Please note that category 1 dogs are not allowed.
