In the Ekaya Chalets at the foot of the Pyrenees in Béarn, 18 km from Pau, we reserve a particularly attentive welcome to pets of our guests.
The setting in the great outdoors, but with a fenced outdoor space lends itself perfectly to a stay with your dog. Besides, there is no no limit on size, breed or number of dogs, they are all welcome, including those of category 1 and 2. We also accept your other furry😺, feathered🐦 or scaly🦎 companions! Here the animals are truly loved and pampered🥰!

🌄Hello, we are Fanny and Florian and one day we fell in love with a a corner of heavenly nature in Lasseube in Béarn (25km from Pau) with a splendid view of the Pyrenees mountain range. Our life project, the Ekaya Chalets were born!
We put our heart and soul into it, did a lot of things with our hands and with passion and the first The Rouge Gorge chalet is ready to welcome you! The second will open mid-July 2025.
The Chalets d'Ekaya are two unusual and high-end cocoons, designed for a romantic stay in a peaceful setting surrounded by nature with maximum comfort. In a 'Unusual Love Room' spirit, they are perfect for hosting a couple, a travel cot can be added.
Each chalet is good independent, not overlooked and has its own Enclosed exterior. Privacy guaranteed!
They are equipped and decorated with care and have large panoramic bay windows to feel like you are completely immersed in nature. attention to detail, the quality of the equipment and the welcome, we have thought of everything to ensure you have an unforgettable time🤩.

As for the location, magical. The chalet is very clean, quite complete, just a little cramped and lacking bedside tables... I can't give it 5 stars because my little 3,5 kg dog was electrocuted by the fence, he screamed and was traumatized for two days... so for us it's not dog friendly and yet that's why we came here...

We are sincerely sorry for this inconvenience, especially as this is the very first negative feedback we have received (across all platforms).
Our chalets are fully fenced to ensure the comfort of our guests and their dogs. The chalet you stayed in has a fence, part of which is electric. This is partly to prevent our little pygmy goats from wandering into the chalet gardens (and feasting on all our plants 😂), but also to protect them from dogs unaccustomed to being around farm animals.
We are truly sorry that your dog was traumatized during your stay. We have never encountered a similar situation despite the many guests with dogs we have hosted. However, to prevent this from happening again, we have decided to install a double fence in 2026 (an electric fence on the goat side and a non-electric one on the chalet side).
We want to emphasize that we are completely dog-friendly 🐶 and we thank the team at Emmène ton chien for this. Their support and advice have allowed us to implement numerous measures to guarantee real comfort for our guests' dogs 😊 Today, we are proud to offer stays that are just as enjoyable for couples as they are for their pets.

We stayed at Chalets d'Ekaya and it was truly an experience! It's sweet, calm, relaxing, Fanny and Florian are very attentive and available, a simply adorable couple that everyone would want as friends. The dog-friendly side is REALLY there. Dogs are not "just" accepted but truly welcome, the fenced garden, the treats, Florian who treks 2 hours to help us find our missing dog... the bowls, the first aid kit etc... in short, our nuggets was also really on vacation. Not to mention the incredible places nearby for walks and hikes. In terms of comfort, they are by far the best rental we have tested too: ultra-comfortable bed, real hard jacuzzi, careful finishing, and lots of surprises that I won't reveal. I am their biggest fan and we are going back with great anticipation in September!
