Le Groin des Ondes, 3* tourist accommodation, welcomes you as a couple, with family or friends but always with your four-legged friends.

Located in Saint Méloir des Ondes, a town bordering Saint Malo and Cancale, in Ille-et-Vilaine, your hairballs are welcomed with real pleasure and at no extra charge. We accept small, medium, large, categorized…so well educated masters.

A bowl of fresh water will be waiting for them when they get out of the car, but before that, you'll have to go through the “hugs” box with Laurence!
The number accepted depends on the number of humans and the breed of hairballs because we do not welcome 5 Chihuahuas as we welcome 5 Leonbergers...

Everyone has to find their place… So remember to specify the number of people, the number and the breed of your dogs when you make an inquiry or a reservation request.

The garden is perfectly enclosed at 1.50 m with rigid mesh. It has been tested from Chihuahuas to Newfoundlands via Huskies… even if we know very well that when a Husky wants to escape, it's not a fence that stops it!
The refrigerator has a 60 liter freezer section for BARF-fed dogs.

We have a dog ourselves, a male Eurasier named Print Karbon. He's super cool, but he'll be on the other side of the gate. If things go well, he might even invite his new friends to come play with him in his garden…

We live in a very quiet hamlet and are the only ones in the area who accept pets. Therefore, we prefer to avoid dogs that are "reactive towards other dogs" and "compulsive barkers" in order to preserve this tranquility.

For the walk around the house, there are the fields (but collection of droppings obligatory!)
For walks on the beach, we offer:
○ the Bay of Mont Saint Michel 2 km away (dogs allowed without restriction)
○ The 8 beaches of Cancale (restricted access from June 1st to September 30th, from 10am to 19pm)
It must be admitted that Saint Malo is not a very dog-friendly city (just like the bourgeois Dinard where dogs are refused on its famous market) but it is up to you to change the mentality of the “Malouins sores”.

Never leave home without your poop bags and never forget to pick up after your pet. While someone might grumble when they see you on the ramparts of Saint-Malo with your four-legged friend, your furry companions will always be welcome in most restaurants.
For minor and major injuries, we have the excellent Brocéliande veterinary clinic just 10 minutes away; you'll find their contact details in the welcome booklet. A pet pharmacy is also available at the gîte.
Your dog can be left alone in the rental in your absence.
Otherwise, the pension of La Salmonais (Saint Méloir des Ondes) has a few “day” places depending on the season.

Located between Cancale and Saint Malo, quiet and in the countryside, you are ideally located to discover all the riches of the Emerald Coast and the Bay of Mont Saint Michel.

Furnished tourist accommodation labeled 3 stars and 3 ears of corn by Gîtes de France.

Le Groin des Ondes is a recent house of 80 m² that can accommodate up to 5 people with an enclosed plot of 100 m² including:
○ A large south-facing terrace with a barbecue, four sun loungers, garden furniture, and a parasol (yes, yes, I assure you, you'll need it!)
○ a 34 m² living room facing east/south/west

○ a shower room / WC on the ground floor

○ two bedrooms upstairs with 160 cm and/or 80 cm beds (Bultex mattresses)
○ a bathroom / WC upstairs

○ equipped with every comfort with dishwasher, washing machine, dryer, hair dryer, filter coffee maker, Senséo, toaster and much more...
○ a flat screen television, a DVD player and Canal+ (including Netflix)
○ free Wi-Fi
○ two reserved parking spaces
○ and a map specially designed to not miss any site to visit, any walk, any beach...
Saint Méloir des Ondes is:
○ the heart of oyster farming and mussel farming (oysters and bouchot mussels)
○ a village with all shops, all services and very good restaurants 2 km away
○ the Bay of Mont Saint Michel at 2 kms
○ the white sand beaches of St Coulomb 5 km away for invigorating swimming!

We rent from Sunday to Sunday to avoid traffic jams.
We accept ANCV holiday vouchers but not VACAF.
Prices: from €400 to €950 per week + tourist tax

Regarding the activities around the Groin des Ondes, you will have the choice between:
○ the various nautical activities (sailing, kite-surfing, swimming, along the coast, etc.)
○ horseback riding on the beach (stud at 1 km)
○ the discovery by boat of the largest colony of dolphins
○ a multitude of sites to visit including of course Saint Malo and its legendary ramparts, Cancale and its charming fishing port, the GR34 and its 2000 km of coastal paths, the mythical Mont Saint Michel and its captivating cloister, Dinan and its old medieval town…
○ the sublime beaches of the Emerald Coast
○ the serenity of the edges of Rance and its GR34 bis
