The Château de Jouarres residence

Dogs are very welcome at the Château de Jouarres residence in the Aude to enjoy their family holidays.

We find it completely normal to welcome both 4 legs and 2 legs (families). We have therefore made our holiday residence a dog-friendly residence and we are now proud to be certified by EmmeneTonChien.com for welcoming your doggies!

Dogs are welcome in the apartments and there are no criteria regarding size... big or small, we don't make a difference. However, categorized dogs are currently not accepted.

We simply ask that you BE NOTIFIED if you wish to travel with your animal and even more so if you are traveling with several doggies. If you have more than 2 dogs, this will be on a case by case basis upon prior request 😉

How is the residence perfectly adapted to the stay of dogs?
– A large enclosed outdoor area of ​​2 hectares of parkland + 2,5 hectares of forest
– Presence of Lac de Jouarres just behind the residence (dogs welcome outside supervised beaches).
– Residence located 200m from the Canal du Midi, its walks and landscaped areas.
– For your hikes with your dog, the GR 78 passes just behind the residence.
– A canine association and a canine pension are located not far from the residence if necessary.

For dog-friendly activities, there are great activities to do with your dog in the region, you will certainly find what you are looking for in Cathar country:

Discover, for example, the village of Minerve with your dog. It is located in the Hérault. On its rocky outcrop, it dominates the gorges of the Cesse and the Brian. Come for a walk and admire its terraced gardens and cobbled streets. The natural bridges of the Cesse valley make it an exceptional geological site. It is classified among the “Most Beautiful Villages of France”. Minerve is also a center of Catharism.

And of course also visit the medieval city of Carcassonne, less than 30 minutes from the Château de Jouarres residence.

A few simple rules to follow during your stay with your dog:
– Dogs must be kept on a leash in the common areas,
– Your dog’s little souvenirs will need to be picked up. (presence of terminals on the fitness trail and also near the parking lot).

For dogs, a supplement of 10e per night will be applied or 45€ per week.

The Résidence du Château de Jouarres is located halfway between the city of Carcassonne and the beaches of the Mediterranean. Located in a private park of 5ha, between vineyards and the Canal du Midi, it has 90 spacious and very comfortable apartments, from studios for 2/4 people to T4 for 8 people. The outdoor swimming pool allows complete relaxation, for a calm and relaxing holiday.
