Dogs are absolutely welcome at the Calistane cottages located in Isère, between Chambéry and Grenoble, at the foot of the Chartreuse mountain range.

😄 And the best of the best: some "Turnkey" days where everything is planned — A stroll, a discovery, a gourmet break, and relaxation with an incredible view… always with your best friend by your side 🫶 You can stay with several dogs, regardless of their size. Category dogs are also accepted At the guesthouse, we place our trust in their owner.
Throughout the year, many families stay here with their dogs, and return year after year 😄
We had the pleasure of welcoming husky dogs this summer and going cani-hiking with them and their owners!
I reserve a welcome without supplement to our 4-legged friends and you will find for their well-being:

All breeds are acceptedThe most energetic will find their happiness in exploring the surrounding mountains, the calmer will be happy to share a cozy accommodation with their master.
Basic rules of education (respect for the premises inside and outside and no barking) will contribute to the shared enjoyment of everyone.
For an additional fee: All dogs are welcome here, even large packs! For everyone's comfort, an additional fee is charged to ensure extra cleaning after your stay.

Things to know for your holiday at Gîtes de Calistane

🌿The Calistane cottages are located in Isère, between Chambéry and Grenoble, at the foot of Chartreuse massif and facing the chainne of BelledonneThe mountains are very close and all the walks are less than 30 minutes away by car, or even accessible from the gîte.
I propose 2 independent cottages with a capacity of 6 people with each their private garden and terrace, fully enclosed outdoor areas, privileged location on a private road, very quiet environment.
Weekly stays or overnight stays depending on the period.
Description of the 2 gites:
Gîte Les Cascades:
– living room/living room of 30 m2
– fully equipped independent kitchen (freezer)
– master bedroom: 1 double bed
– family room: 1 double bed and 2 bunk beds
– bathroom with bath and washbasins 2 basins
– separate toilet
The living room sofa can also be converted into a double bed. The living room is open to the garden
Gîte L’Envolée:
– large living room of 35 m2 opening onto the garden, central island, freezer
– luxury room: 1 king size bed 160
– zen room: 1 bed 140 and 1 sofa bed 140
– bathroom with 2 sinks
– separate toilet
South-facing plot with 6-seater swing
The cottages are located at the foot of the Chartreuse cliffs in the Alps, they offer numerous shaded walks just minutes from the forest and near bodies of water (many waterfalls, rivers, and lakes accessible with dogs). Fields and country lanes are also very close by.
Many possibilities for hiking in the surrounding mountains (Chartreuse / Belledonne), beautiful excursions also near the lakes of Bourget / Aix les Bains or Annecy.

Thank you for this great address! Perfectly suited accommodation for our small pack of 5 dogs. Enclosed grounds. Our 2 chihuahuas loved the well in the grounds: ideal for hiding and chasing each other!

We have just had a great vacation for almost a week with our 3 dogs: 2 huskies and an Australian shepherd.
Christine, our host, made us very welcome. She is very kind and responsive (thanks again for helping us out throughout our stay!). She loves animals and our little ones were welcomed with tenderness, which warms our hearts when we are traveling with 3 big dogs!
The cottage is perfect: functional and very clean, with all the basic necessities. We were able to take beautiful walks just behind the gîte a few km by car. The cottage is well located near Prapoutel and Pipay for hiking. Lots of activities nearby and magnificent landscapes, there is something for everyone 🙂
I recommend this cottage without hesitation!

I recommend this little corner of paradise. A warm welcome from Christine in a superb setting, calm and serenity assured. The 5 dogs, the rabbit and the humans were delighted to share a week at the foot of the mountains. Everyone agrees to come back to Christine!
