🐶 Gîte Le Clos des Laves 100% dog-friendly, in the Puy de Dome en Auvergne : In our house, dogs are at home.🥰

The cottage is exclusively dog-friendly, out of love for dogs, I only welcome vacationers with their dogs 🐶

It was our two dogs, Rolly and Tauqin, who inspired our project: to turn our family home in Auvergne into a gîte welcoming their canine friends!

⛰️ Because theAuvergne for dogs, it's a wonderful playground and exploration area : volcanoes, lakes, waterfalls, rivers, countless hiking trails, small villages of character... A nature destination par excellence , to frolic and sniff without moderation.

Le Gite is ideal for 2 dogs (for more, contact us).

• It offers a direct access on truly enclosed garden (1.80m), in part shady (tree, shelter, covered terrace) with a water point to refresh our little companions, rinse their paws or fill their little foldable swimming pool.
• Spacious, the cottage is largely tiled (except for the bedrooms) which facilitates routine maintenance, especially since a Dyson vacuum cleaner is available for this purpose. An American fridge also provides storage space for BARF diet enthusiasts.
• De many dog facilities are available, to avoid you taking too much on vacation: Pleas, baskets et carpet, some bowls, toys, towels dedicated to dogs, a first aid kit.
• Le The gite is mostly on one level, with direct access to the garden. Only one bedroom is upstairs, with a removable barrier to prevent access to the stairs. It is also air conditionedThis can therefore be perfectly suitable for older dogs or those with hip problems, for example, and those who do not tolerate heat well.
• Finally, we provide a “Doggy-Book”, a real guide to dog-friendly activities and visits : restaurants, museums, castles and other monuments, caves, swimming spots and walking loops... We also mention trusted partners for canine activities  (agility, cani-sports, leisure center for dogs, etc.) or a day care.
• We have not forgotten the addresses of several vets 10 minutes away from Clos des Laves. You never know...

We are also members of the Cyanobacteria Alerts association to be able, if necessary, to make our guests aware of the quality of bathing water, which is generally good in Puy-De-Dôme. Our guests must be completely calm about their vacation with their dog at Le Clos des Laves Gîte.

Gîte Le Clos des Laves 100% Dogfriendly in Auvergne in Puy de Dôme, 40km from Clermont Ferrand, combines charm and comfort for a wonderful mountain vacation at the gateway to the Sancy Massif.

Formerly, it was an outbuilding of the Chidrac priory which served as stables. Completely renovated and carefully decorated with “local colors”, it has become a character cottage*** offering a capacity from 1 to 6 people.

Speaking on 130m2, it has on the ground floor a parental suite (double bed 140),  with private bathrooms (toilet, sink and large walk-in shower) and a very large room (double bed 160) adjoining a large bathroom and a second toilet. A third room (140 cm bed) is located upstairs, with a very nice view of a small chapel and the Pic d'Ysson.

Overlooking the garden, including a terrace where you can eat your meals (plancha), the living rooms  (living room, dining room) are really places of conviviality . In addition to the large television, we have installed a library/board games corner, with a CD player (many books and CDs available. A fiber subscription allows you to connect well in Wifi, for leisure and possible teleworking.

A open kitchen offers a high level of equipment: dishwasher, traditional oven and microwave, American fridge, food processors, raclette machine, 2 types of coffee makers, kettle, toaster etc.).

A back kitchen serves as a laundry room, with a large sink, a washing machine and a dryer. Household products are also stored there.

Finally, a closed premises and tiled is available for store bicycles, skis, fishing or hiking equipment, safely.
