Gite Chat Loupe – L’Antre De Baie

At the Chat Loupe lodge, Our friends, dogs, cats, etc., are welcome, regardless of size or breed and in a maximum number of 4 in relation to the surface area and for the comfort of all.

We (my husband and I) come from the world of animal protection with 20 years of experience, We love animals and it's our passion. And we also have several dogs, our own and the little ones we look after during care, etc. (who will not be in direct contact with our tenants' dogs).

If we say dogs, cats, etc. are welcome, it is because we provide equipment for them at the lodge in order to make lighter suitcases for their humans 😉 So these are comfort sleeping (mats or plastic baskets with blankets), bowls (water / kibble), kibble container to put them out of the truffle of greedy little ones or to preserve resources with food (we avoid risks), toys, ...

For our friends the cats : beds, bowls, but also litter boxes (without a litter box, it's up to you to bring the one that your feline likes), a cat tree, scratching postWe even have a cage for parrots or large birds.
We provide throws to cover sofas/armchairs entirely.
All blankets are systematically changed and washed on each exit/arrival, for everyone's comfort.

We provide a specific bin and poop bags in the garden lawn for a clean lawn area. Also, you will have at your disposal a freezer for BARF food if necessary.

The 2 private outdoor spaces of the Chat Loupe gîte are not shared with any other gîte. All outdoor spaces (private or agility relaxation area) are fully secure, we have enclosed by wallss, rigid panel fences with concrete slab bases to prevent earthmoving dogs from digging and running away. The heights of the walls and fences vary between 1,65m and 2m.
The fence in rigid panels of the terrace is lined with a bamboo reed on the inside and a vegetated hedge on the outside to avoid too much stimuli for some hairy people.

We can provide specific equipment at the request of masters such as: a varikennel (indoor cage to secure a puppy during absences with positive use, we explain).

In the laundry area, you will find you will find a first aid kit for first aid but also brushes, combs, tick removers, etc.

We (my husband and I) have followed specific training and are holders of: Certificate of dog/cat capacity, animal first aid level 1 and 2, certificate of aptitude for categorized dogs, Transport of live animals, which allows us to provide advice on request from our tenants.

Our motto is that if dogs bark it's their way of expressing themselves, don't worry about that.

We have made sure that human families and their faithful companions have a holiday hand in paw 🙂

Ideally located on the Emerald Coast between Saint Malo / Saint Brieuc / Dinan, our Chat Loupe cottage is a seaside cottage, nestled in the bay of La Fresnaye, whose beaches, coves and ports are freely accessible all year round for our canine friends, which is also why we chose this location. Walks along the seafront or inland (the Templars' walk, etc.) start from the gate of the cottage's terrace. All shops are a 5-minute drive away.
Here you can recharge your batteries, stroll, visit, discover or relax with your faithful companions.

Our cottage is located a few steps from Cap Fréhel one of the highest cliffs in Brittany, Fort la Latte (garden and castle), Saint Cast le Guildo, Sables d'or les pins and its lagoon, Erquy, Saint Jacut de la sea ​​and its Ebihens, Dinan, Dinard, the banks of the Rance and its pretty little villages, Saint Malo, … on the seafront or on land, plenty of things to do.

The Chat Loupe cottage is located in a stone farmhouse and was completely renovated in 2020/2021.

Awarded the Gîte de France 3 épis rating, it is comfortable, cozy and well-equipped for humans (young and old) as well as for our canine and feline friends.

It is open all year round, summer and winter, with central heating, a large fireplace and a wood-burning stove for evenings by the fire.

Linen package available (covering bed linen, bathroom linen, kitchen linen).
A tumble dryer is available.

From the terrace of the cottage you have direct access to walking trails including the GR34, the sea view 150 m on foot, 700 m the wild beach open to our dog friends all year round (like all other sea access of the bay, Port Nieux, Port Saint Jean, Les Moulins de la mer, etc.).
All shops 5 mins away on Matignon (its famous market every Wednesday morning all year round) or Fréhel (5 mins too).
