A real treat for dogs and their owners, with plenty to see and do in the surrounding area.
My name is Lucky and this is Lola. This is our third time staying at Camping L'Escale Occitanie. We received a very warm, family welcome and highly recommend it. The owner is very animal-loving.
We stayed at the Escale Occitane for 6 nights in October 2024.
The welcome is truly warm and friendly, and the restaurant serves delicious food. Dogs are welcomed with a smile, except for one of the owners' two dogs, but they are very attentive to their dog, so no problem.
The reason for not getting a 5/5 rating is that we didn't expect to hear the noise from the busy road, which is located just below the campsite, which is itself on a slope. This noise ruined part of our stay.
The other downside concerns the walks you can do from the campsite. When we were there, there was only one short walk through the vineyards. There is another path, but we were advised not to go there, as travelers had settled there at the time.
The campsite is not in nature, and you have to take a vehicle to access the bodies of water mentioned for dogs, which we did not understand when reading the description of the place and its surroundings.
A big thank you for your website. I have already spent hours finding activities, campsites, etc. Currently we are at Escale Occitane following your article and it is really a great place for us AND for our 3 dogs!
A wonderful week in this campsite where you feel good. Nadia and Rémi welcome you with their smile, their kindness whether you have 2 or 4 legs.
We loved it and will return very soon to enjoy their campsite. We will miss cocktails and cassoulets until we return.
See you soon . You understand, we warmly recommend the Occitan stopover if you go to Carcassonne
The campsite is very well located, close to Carcassonne. The hosts are very welcoming and friendly. Dogs are very well welcomed, with a Cani park, a doggie pool, a doggie bar and ice cream for dogs! The campsite also has a restaurant where we ate very well, the quality/price ratio is very good! We recommend 😉
We rented a tent, nothing to complain about, everything was good. A table and chairs + deckchairs are available. Great welcome, pleasant owner. We have a dog, he had a great time and didn't miss anything. He even had the chance to have fun in the closed dog park with Charlie!
