Hiking at Pont d'Espagne: your dog is welcome here
Hello fellow dog lovers, I'm sharing a great address I tested with Punk, a 20-month-old, 32kg staff dog.
The Pont d'Espagne in Cauterets allows dogs for a short walk along a beautiful river. You can take the chairlift with your dog up to the viewpoint, which, after a 15-minute walk, offers a view of Lake Gaube… But honestly, I'm happy to explore new things, but I would never, ever take my dog on a chairlift.
We then took a 45-minute walk in the first part of the park where dogs on leashes are allowed. Then we tried the cable car back down to the parking lot.
The park entrance fee is 7 euros per vehicle, and the drive is definitely worthwhile. The only downside is that dogs are not allowed at Lake Gaube…
