The 4 Castles of Lastours

The visit to the 4 castles of Lastours is a great visit to do with family and your dog in Aude! It is both a hike and a visit that lasts between 2 and 2 hours. These are 30 ruined castles that can be discovered during a hike. Dogs are allowed on a leash without problem. I went with Elwin (English Cocker Spaniel) and we met other dogs of all sizes who were also visiting with their families. It is possible to climb certain castle towers but be careful, the passage on the stairs is steep and narrow, some dogs don't really like it. It is not a very physical outing, however I do not recommend it in high heat because there are not too many shaded areas and you must bring water in all cases.
