The Saint-Même Circus: your dog is welcome here
Is the Cirque de Saint-Même, in Saint-Pierre-d'Entremont in Savoie, accessible to dogs? Are all areas accessible to dogs?
After my visit, I will be able to answer you.
First of all, you should know that the Hauts de Chartreuse Nature Reserve is not accessible to dogs.
However, some access points to the Cirque de Saint-Même are indeed accessible to them before entering the reserve. This is indicated by signs.
How to get to the Cirque de Saint-Même?
1 – Park in the Saint-Même circus car park (paid parking from April to October, approximately €5/car)
2 – Head towards the circus, you will find the information panel regarding areas accessible to dogs.
Which areas are accessible to dogs? Two trails are accessible to dogs:
The Cirque Bottom Trail (marked in green)
The Cascades Trail (marked in red)
No worries about your dog here, it just needs to be kept on a leash.
I recommend you first take the green trail to discover the first waterfall, then retrace your steps and take the red-marked trail towards the Great Waterfall. You will then be able to discover several waterfalls one after the other, all magnificent!
So you can indeed enjoy the Cirque de Saint-Même in Savoie with your dog while avoiding areas located in nature reserves.
Dogs must be kept on a leash at all times during this visit.
On the practical side?
