If you are planning your next vacation to Rennes, here are some ideas for activities that you can share with your dog.
Let's start with the built heritage of the city, your dog will not be accepted within the walls of the monuments but you can always admire them from the outside while taking advantage of the other riches of the city. So you can see the Jacobin Convent which is also the city's Tourist Office, the St. Peter's Cathedral, the Mordelaise doors, the Place des Lices or againOpera. These are superb constructions that are worth a look!
Rennes is a city brimming with parks, which is perfect for our dogs, who will be delighted to roam the fresh grass and burn off energy away from the summer heat. Just a stone's throw from the city center, head to the Prairies Saint-Martin, a haven for both dogs and their owners. The park is full of activities and points of interest, with shaded paths running alongside the canals – ideal for a pleasant stroll! Also close to the city center, you can take the Promenade des Bonnets Rouges, which runs alongside the Vilaine River and offers a complete change of scenery just a stone's throw from the city. A little further north of Rennes , you can also explore the Coulée Verte , a perfect playground for a quick run with your dog.
