Do you live in Paris and want to walk your dog in the capital? Although spaces are limited in the city, there are still many parks and gardens where you can walk your dog within the walls of Paris! The proof is in this article 😉
I agree, walking your dog in a big city like Paris isn't so easy! Lots of construction, traffic jams, noise… What if you went to a park or garden with your dog to unwind without leaving the city?
But in reality, is it possible to find parks in Paris intra-muros where dogs are allowed? I'll tell you in advance: yes yes yes! There are even loads of them! I'll even give you my top 15 parks where you can walk your dog in Paris in this article 😉 Before that, here are some tips to avoid injuries and poisoning that can happen when walking your dog! And as a bonus: a list of veterinary clinics in Paris.
Summary
Walking in the park with your dog: precautions
Walking with your dog in a park in the middle of Paris is so cool! But it still requires some precautions, for several reasons.
The first piece of advice I can give you, whether you're out for a walk in the park or anywhere else, is to always have the number of a veterinary clinic saved in your phone so you can react in case of an emergency. It's a simple reflex that can save you a ton of stress and panic. In Paris, you can save the number and address of a clinic in the Sevetys Paris Veterinary Network near you . There are clinics all over Paris proper, including a 24/24 emergency veterinary clinic in the 12th arrondissement. That way, in case of a bite, sting, ingestion of a dangerous substance, or anything else, you're ready to rush to the vet immediately!
Once you have the number in your phone, here are some smart tips for walking your dog in a park in Paris, as elsewhere.😉
To begin with, you'll likely encounter quite a few dogs at the park, as green spaces are popular with dog owners. A lot of dogs in one place also means that tensions can arise! To avoid dog fights at the park , I advise you to first know your dog well and understand the types of dogs it doesn't like, so you can avoid them. Also, if you see a group of overly excited dogs, it's best to take a different route, as things can quickly turn ugly if there are too many dogs involved. 😬
Let's talk about a less than pleasant topic: those things behind hedges or buildings… Unfortunately, when they're of human origin, they can contain traces of drugs or medication. Dogs are extremely sensitive to these substances, so if your dog ingests any, it's an immediate emergency at the vet ! A special shout-out to Musher, who absolutely loves this kind of discovery and gives me a huge fright every time… So I have to keep a very close eye on her to detect the slightest abnormal sign.
The bins in Paris parks are often full and can overflow. So be careful about what your dog might eat nearby.
There can also be broken glass in the walkways of the parks where you walk your dog. And unfortunately, this isn't unique to dog parks in Paris.
In short, you get the idea, to take your dog out in a park in Paris or elsewhere, it's best to carefully observe where you put your feet, and especially where your dog puts its paws!
You can go out with a first aid kit on you to help your dog if needed. But sometimes, we want to go out light, and we just take a leash and poop bags. Me first!
So remember to call and save the contact details of a Sevetys veterinary clinic in Paris for less stress in case of a problem 😉
Now that we've talked about the risks, it's time to enjoy and choose the next parks where you can walk your dog in Paris!

The site is a real discovery for dog owners. Topp, keep it up!!
I discovered this site which seems really great at first glance, I am less afraid of being restricted in terms of activities to do with my little one.
5 adorable little darlings fill us with happiness and the opportunity to go on holiday all together seemed laborious or almost impossible. What a wonderful discovery the site “EmmèneTonChien” is. All I have to do now is refine my visit to your site. Continue this wonderful initiative. Well done and thank you!
