Here is the list of dog-friendly beaches in the Somme: from north to south of the Picardy coast. Fort-Mahon-Plage, Quend-Plage, Le Crotoy, Saint-Valery-sur-Somme, Cayeux-sur-Mer, Ault-Onival, Mers-les-Bains…
Fort-Mahon-Plage: dynamic seaside resort where you can go sailing, catamaran, paddle, sand yachting... Dogs allowed on the beach outside the surveillance zones / residential areas, along the esplanade and Boulevard Maritime and kept on a leash
Quend-Plage: dogs allowed on a leash outside the bathing areas.
Saint-Quentin-en-Tourmont: dogs allowed on the beach. Dogs strictly prohibited, even on a leash, in the Parc du Marquenterre, classified as a nature reserve.
La Maye: dogs allowed on part of the beach, i.e. the left part near the car park. Note that the right side of the beach is in the Baie de Somme nature reserve, where dogs are prohibited.
Le Crotoy: dogs allowed outside the bathing areas, on a leash on the rest of the beach from Allée de la Grève to Maye beach
Saint-Valery-sur-Somme, a small medieval town to explore without hesitation with your dog. Here dogs are allowed on the beach on a leash but prohibited on the coastal path
Brighton-les-Pins: dogs allowed
Cayeux-sur-mer: dogs are tolerated on the boardwalk if they are kept on a leash and outside the supervised bathing area, always on a leash
Ault, Onival: only authorized on the esplanade if they are kept on a leash. Note that the circuits of the motte, the huts and the cliff are perfect for a walk with your dog.
Mers-les-Bains: authorized only on the esplanade. Your dog will not be able to access the beach, even on a leash.

If there are many beaches where dogs are welcome in the Somme, there are also areas where your pet is strictly prohibited. Bathing places authorized for dogs in the Somme
I love going to the sea with my dog but, as coming back from the beach, the passage through the shower is mandatory, I admit that we go more often to the river or the lake. At least I don't need to rinse her to get the salt and sand off her hair! That said, I'll share a good tip with you to avoid rinsing in your shower and the hour of cleaning that goes with washing your bathroom full of hair... I recently equipped myself with a special camping solar-powered shower. I fill the bag with 10 liters of water, I pump and with the pressure I can rinse Musher directly at the car, at the exit of the beach. It's just magical...

Ponds Long : the site is part of a complex of peat ponds which connect several municipalities. For example, you can also discover the Longpré marsh where beautiful walks between ponds, reed beds, meadows and wooded marshes await you. It is not a bathing area strictly speaking, but it is a natural area where you can find a bit of freshness. Please note that there are guided tours on site by boat or canoe to observe the local fauna: these walks are not accessible with your dog.
Ponds of La Barette and the Falaise Sainte Colette in Corbie : two landscaped trails await you here. Of course, here again, it's not a classic bathing place, but your dog will be able to find a bit of freshness there.
Etang Saint-Ladre reserve in Boves : at the gates of Amiens, you can walk along the water's edge with your dog following the arrow markings.
Ponds Clery-sur-Somme : 2,5km of walks await you in this protected natural site.
The Marais des Cavins in Bourdon : 3km of routes laid out with interpretation tables all along the route.

Canoe trip from the Ham Nautical Base in Estouilly: they accept dogs without problem.
Please note two important pieces of information:
Picquigny nautical base: dogs not allowed except on the canoes which are made of plastic. Paddle rental not allowed to dogs.
Nautical base of Saint-Sauveur: dogs not allowed on all rentals
