The top 10 things we love to do at the campsite with our dog
On these cold and gloomy February days, what better way to cheer up than to think about the next vacation?! The beach, the sun, idleness, ice cream, hiking, friends... And where to find all that for the holidays? At the campsite, of course! And I would even say more at Campéole. And of course, we take the dog in the suitcases! To prepare for your next vacation, here is a list Wouafement Bien of what we love to do at the campsite with our dog.
Camping is being outside: our dogs love it
All year round, it's metro work sleep. We take the car, we work in buildings, we walk doggies on the sidewalk… On holiday at the campsite: we breathe! We live outside. Waking up to the rays of the sun through the tent. Breakfast on the terrace of the mobile home. Siesta under the big pine with the cicadas singing in your ears. Being outside makes you happy. And your dog will love outdoor vacations too, you'll see. Especially those who are not lucky enough to have their own garden.
Camping is friendly
This is the campsite's no. 1 asset: you inevitably make friends there. By the pool, during salsa lessons, washing up… Any occasion is good to meet people at the campsite. And your dog will help you! He will be delighted to take a closer look at his congeners to find playmates for the holidays. By doing so, you will necessarily sympathize with the masters of his best friends.
At the campsite, we share authentic moments
Ephemeral friends or friends for life, what is certain is that thanks to your dog, you will not be alone for very long. Your neighbors will be delighted to share with you all the places where they love to go with their dog (small corner of the beach, the edge of a quiet river, etc.) and all the activities they have tested with him in the region. It's a safe bet that before the end of the holidays, you will have shared some nice moments together.
Last time with Musher, we met 3 families and their dog. Barbecue, hiking and canoeing; we shared great moments all together and I keep beautiful souvenir photos.
Camping is comfort and services
No more camping with a grandpa's tent that takes on water and lets all the critters in... Mobile homes, lodges, bungalows, chalets... at Campéole, there's something for everyone and all levels of comfort. The campsite bends over backwards to offer you quality services: entertainment planning, swimming pool, bike or canoe rental, bakery, snack bar,... At the campsite, we also think of your dog: toutoubar, canidouche, caniparc, swimming in the lake, the river or the beach of the campsite…. Your dog is also welcome at the campsite.

At the campsite, we are full of activities
A game of pétanque, aquagym lessons, wine tasting... there's something for everyone.
And your dog? Canirando, cani-paddle, canoeing, lazing on the beach, visiting a cave… For him too, the holidays will be an opportunity to fill up on activities. He will love spending time with you. Sharing holidays with your dog is precious. It is a privileged moment to strengthen the bond with your animal
At the campsite, idleness is king
Your dog will quickly understand that it's the holidays. Change of scenery, change of rhythm, change of two- and four-legged neighbors and change of mood. You are finally relaxed and smiling. If on vacation you are rather “cool raoul”, your dog will also appreciate the long naps.
A little reminder is in order: avoid full sun for doggies, they risk heat stroke and remember to hydrate them very very regularly.
The art of barbecue on vacation
What could be friendlier than a barbecue? Sausages, crisps, rosé and voila. You can also vary the pleasures and add some local specialties to grill.
Testing new dishes and tasting local flavors is always a pleasure. Watch out for your dog. Changing his diet can cause him some gastric troubles. Eating fat, with spices… it's not good for us, it's not good for doggies either. Coming back from vacation with 1 or 2 kilos more is not recommended for your health.
At the campsite we forget certain rules… but not all!
Musher, my dog, does not sleep with me. It's a rule at home: everyone has their own basket! Under the tent, it's another story… It's the only time of the year when you forget this little rule. And she loves it. I often end up on the floor of the tent and she is well settled on the mattress.
Going camping with your dog necessarily means respecting a few rules of good behavior so that it goes well for everyone. Your dog must therefore wear his collar and be on a leash. He can't wander where he wants it would be far too dangerous for him.
My dog, the camping star
Musher loves camping because she gets so many compliments. She loves camping because the kids tickle her tummy all day and sneak her snacks.
Above all, my dog loves camping because he can gossip from morning to night. Sitting in front of the tent or on the stairs of the bungalow terrace, she knows by heart the comings and goings of the neighbors. I'm sure she knows the times for aqua-pony lessons and happy hour before I do. She makes me laugh too much listening to everything and watching. And on the smell side, I'm not telling you about the treat! There are new leads to follow 😉
Sea, mountain, countryside… to each his own style
Each of your desires corresponds to an ideal campsite. With several dog-friendly campsites throughout France, you are bound to find the one that suits you at Campéole. Canirandos fans love setting off directly from the campsite to take on the most beautiful hiking trails in the Pyrenees or the Alps, for example. Canipaddle fans love going to the campsite's private beach to enjoy the joys of swimming with their dog. Fans of idleness love to enjoy the campsite's fine sandy beach. Canicross fans love to put on their trainers and harnesses to run freely with their dog in the countryside. In short, whatever your destination, you will always find a Wouafement Bien campsite to go on holiday with your dog.
Only one conclusion to this nice list: camping with a dog is Wow Good! Happy holidays everyone 🙂
