How to choose your campsite for a family vacation with a dog? Is it possible to have slides and activities for young and old without forgetting the comfort and well-being of your pet? Yesssss! Here are 28 campsites that are REALLY committed to the WHOLE family, including dogs! 😉

As you now know, my job is to find you the best destinations and places to go on vacation with your dog all year round. Dream job? Almost!

For this new article, I've selected nearly 30 campsites where welcoming your dog is paramount . These 30 locations are specially designed to welcome your furry friend for your holidays: dog showers, dog-friendly beaches, dog activities, canine welcome kits, dog parks, dog-friendly guides… All the campsites I'm going to recommend have obtained the QUALIDOG label, certifying and validating their pet-friendly facilities.

The campsites in this selection are part of the Homair brand which, for more than 30 years, has been offering family holidays in its 4 and 5 star campsites, its water parks, its kids' clubs and its entertainment.

In 2025, the brand decided to give dogs a real place in the holiday experience.

I was familiar with the brand name. But I must admit that after accompanying and working with these campsites, I was very pleasantly surprised by the concrete and sincere commitment of their teams to improving the welcome we receive from our four-legged friends.

Listening to vacationers... even the furry ones!

Now that I've introduced you to these 28 QUALIDOG campsites, let me tell you about Homair's commitment. You'll better understand how important your dog is to them.

For the Homair team , customer feedback isn't just a slogan. In 2024, they took the time to read, listen to, and above all, understand the feedback from their vacationers traveling with dogs. Some pointed out that the welcome their pets received could still be improved (last year, dogs weren't allowed in premium rentals, for example 😁!). Rather than sweeping these comments under the rug, the brand chose to take action and make a change.

They launched an internal working group dedicated to welcoming dogs , to rethink their approach. And it wasn't just a workshop in a corner: it was a genuine commitment to transformation , with a long-term vision. This reflection was shared with the campsites. The objective? To raise awareness , explain the specific expectations of travelers with dogs , share simple but effective ideas, and above all, get everyone on board with this evolution.

What we particularly appreciated about this approach was its collective and practical dimension . Homair didn't simply say "we accept dogs": they wanted to understand how to better welcome them , and why it was important. They shared examples and best practices, and worked hand in hand with their field teams so that, starting in the summer of 2025, the dog-friendly experience would be warmer, smoother, and more welcoming. For some campsites, this transformation is already underway , as you saw above!

A dedicated welcome for dogs on campsites

This commitment to better welcoming dogs hasn't stopped at mere words, as you've seen in the detailed look at the 28 QUALIDOG-certified campsites. Several campsites have already taken action by testing facilities and services specifically designed for our furry companions. And the ideas implemented are practical, simple, and full of common sense.

Some establishments have therefore created dog parks , allowing dogs to run around safely. Others have installed dog showers to rinse them off after a day at the beach. Some mobile homes now have gated doors so that dogs can enjoy the terrace.

But what we found even better was the idea of offering real activities for dogs ! While the children are at the kids' club or others are enjoying aqua aerobics, you can also enjoy some quality time with your pet: discovery workshops, group walks, or simply a supervised play session… In short, at these campsites , even the dog has its own holiday schedule ! 🐕

You won't find this welcome at all campsites from 2025. But, if these initiatives are popular, it's a safe bet that they will be offered at other campsites in 2026!

Seeing a major brand like Homair so genuinely committed to improving the dog-friendly experience is truly inspiring. And what we appreciate even more is that they're not just making empty promises: they're taking action ! With dog-friendly facilities, activity ideas, widespread awareness training for their teams… and even an exclusive gift for our community!

At EmmèneTonChien.com, we are proud of this partnership, proud to have accompanied them in this transformation… and above all, delighted to have shared these great addresses with you for your next vacation.
