Enjoy a walk with your dog in the famous City of Gastronomy and Wine to pass by the Palace of the Dukes of Burgundy, a UNESCO World Heritage Site! The magnificent Saint-Bénigne Cathedral in Dijon is also worth a visit. You can also follow the Owl Trail, a historical route to explore with your dog!
- Beaune : a cosmopolitan and epicurean city, Beaune is the ideal stopover for wine and history enthusiasts. Discover this emblematic city of Burgundy and its architectural treasures: the Basilica of Our Lady, the Hospices, the Ramparts of Beaune.
- Builder : Capital of Southern Burgundy, follow the “Tracé de la Plume” (Pencil Trail) with your dog to discover the architectural and literary heritage of Mâcon. No fewer than 28 points of interest are found along this route!
- Auxerre : the city center is magnificent with half-timbered houses of all colors, its impressive Saint-Étienne Cathedral, the Clock Tower and the Abbey of Saint-Germain.
- Vézelay : a magnificent historic village, its basilica and its hill are both listed as UNESCO World Heritage Sites. Enjoy its medieval streets before marveling at the bucolic setting surrounding the village.
- Chateauneuf-en-Auxois : overlooked by a 15th century medieval fortress, this superb village is labeled one of the Most Beautiful Villages in France.
- Chablis To visit the historic center of Chablis with your dog, simply follow the grape clusters on the ground. They will guide you past the most beautiful buildings in this ancient fortified city.
- Gevrey-Chambertin : in this charming wine-growing village, stroll with your dog through the picturesque streets before visiting the Halle-ChambertinThe local wineries are also worth a visit, perfect for a short stopover.

Burgundy is especially famous for its single-varietal wines, which are the origin of prestigious appellations as Romanée-Conti ou Puligny Montrachet. 4 main grape varieties are cultivated in Burgundy:
- le Chardonnay : this super refined white grape variety offers you rich wines with aromas of citrus, white flowers, sometimes with a hint of butter and minerality. A real delight!
- le Pinot Noir : the king of the red grape varieties of Burgundy, it delights us with elegant and complex wines, with aromas of red and black fruits, and a good aging capacity.
- theAligoté : perfect for a chilled Kir, this white grape variety produces light, fruity wines with aromas of green apple and flowers.
- le Gamay : grown in the south of Burgundy, it produces fruity and delicious red wines, ideal for convivial moments with friends or family!
As a good wine is always accompanied by a delicious meal, here are the gastronomic specialties to absolutely discover in Burgundy with your dog :
- le beef bourguignon : this iconic dish, made with beef cooked in red wine, is a delight. Accompanied by pearl onions, mushrooms, and bacon, it's a real treat!
- the Burgundy snails : garnished with butter, garlic and parsley, these snails are then baked for a tender and tasty result.
- the Eggs In Meurette : poached eggs served with a typical regional meurette sauce. A simple and delicious traditional Burgundian dish. Not to be missed!
