Sites and Landscapes campsites: committed to pet-friendly holidays
The Sites et Paysages campsites are committed to providing a better welcome for our four-legged companions. For what ? Because they are also dog lovers. Let me introduce you to these Trop W'ouf campsites.
Table of contents
At EmmeneTonChien.com, we are lucky to work with many partners who are passionate about dogs and tourism stakeholders! I think you already know the Sites et Paysages campsites since for 3 years now, we have been working closely together to improve their reception of doggies. We have therefore witnessed their great evolution in terms of welcoming dogs. By reading the rest of this article, you will better understand why they are so committed to pet-friendly holidays and to what extent their commitments are concrete and even rewarded!
Sites et Paysages, there are around thirty destinations throughout France which offer you holidays which correspond to the true values of camping: nature, authenticity, conviviality, sharing and welcoming animals!
This collaboration with the Sites et Paysages campsite network is in line with our ambition: to offer easy holidays to our beloved dogs (and their owners too!). Listen up: here is a network of Nature and Family campsites to remember for a future stay with your dog. The bonus: 14 campsites in the network are also QUALIDOG certified.
Sites and Landscapes campsites: what are they?
The campsites in the Sites et Paysages network are independent, family campsites on a human scale, often managed by passionate couples or families who will be keen to help you discover their territories. The network is an association: an “artisanal” model which contrasts sharply with the industrial models of other large campsite groups. Each campsite is a member and pays a contribution which allows, for example, individual efforts to be pooled in order to have better visibility. When holidaymakers book on the site, each euro paid is directly donated to the campsite owners. Zero middlemen. Zero commission. It's direct sales for fair remuneration for the group's campsite managers! This is a very concrete example to better understand the Sites and Landscapes DNA.
Here, there is no director, but rather owners. Each campsite is independent, which means that it makes its own choices according to its desires, which is why, even if the network tends towards a very dog-friendly dynamic, the offer offered for reception of dogs is different in all campsites. And this is also why some campsites have chosen to be labeled QUALIDOG and others not.
Dog lovers at the head of the Sites and Landscapes network
There are dog-friendly and dog-friendly… if certain campsites accept your dog, at Sites and Landscapes : he is invited. The network's campsites are not dog-friendly because of the opportunity for communication but because some are managed by dog owners who are familiar with the problems of vacationing with a dog. And that makes all the difference! In the network marketing team with whom we work, there are dog enthusiasts like Bénédicte who I interviewed recently.
This is what she shared with me:
Bénédicte: “ At Sites et Paysages, our love for animals is a passion shared by the entire team. Personally, I have a dog, Talia, and I know how integral animals are to our lives; she's a full-fledged member of our family. Seeing her explore the trails and bask in the sun reminds me why we chose to support the campsites in our network in becoming pet-friendly.”
At the office, Léa is never without her dog Stessy, she is a bit like our mascot and you will find her in many photos on our website and our social networks. Stessy loves lounging on Léa's computer to come get cuddles and happily lends herself to the game to highlight the #vacancesensemblenfrance solidarity campaign in which we have been participating for 7 years now. She happily visits the network’s campsites, becoming a true ambassador of our pet-friendly commitment.
Our values are based on respect, well-being and sharing. We believe that animals are part of the family and deserve to be treated with the same love and care as humans. We believe that every member of the family, whether they have 2 or 4 four legs, should be able to enjoy an unforgettable vacation together. We do everything we can to ensure that these shared moments are filled with joy and complicity. Because after all, vacations are about creating cherished memories with those we love, and that ALSO includes our four-legged friends.”
You now understand better why your animals are pampered at Sites et Paysages. I say “your animals” because imagine that cats are also welcome!
Before presenting to you some of the services and arrangements put in place for your beloved doggie, and which have also earned them great rewards, let me present their team to you in photos:
Campsites rewarded for their infrastructure designed for dogs
If you're looking for campsites where your dog is treated like royalty , you've come to the right place. Sites et Paysages campsites have put in place specific services and facilities to ensure that dogs (and their owners) have an unforgettable holiday.
While some campsites have developed specific facilities for your pet, in all campsites you will find:
- large spaces with lots of greenery: which is a real asset for your dog!
- dogs are accepted in all campsites, on pitches
- some campsites accept up to 3 dogs: a real plus!
- for rentals, some campsites accept dogs in all or part of their rentals: you have to look on a case-by-case basis.
- the dog “supplement” is on average €2.5 in low season and €3.50 in high season, which is rather reasonable. The price is set according to the services and equipment offered in the campsite. This is not a supplement or a tax in return for possible nuisance caused by your dog as in many campsites.
- in all campsites, you will receive a welcoming gesture and find a dog bar. And you can even have access to a veterinary tele-advice service.
Some campsites have extended their welcome even further! Some of you will find: a list of dog-friendly activities near the campsite or a list of marked and accessible walks with a dog.
For example, at Le Petit Bois campsite in the Ardèche region, you'll find a dog shower to wash your dog after a long walk in the surrounding countryside. Or simply to cool them off, although the river at the foot of the campsite is even better for that! Discover more about Le Petit Bois campsite here . Other campsites also offer this dog shower facility. You'll find a complete list of campsite amenities on the page for the 14 QUALIDOG-certified Sites et Paysages campsites . The dog shower is one of the many criteria for this certification!
Some campsites go even further, like Camping Le Ventoulou in the Lot region, which offers a dog-sitting service allowing owners to enjoy local excursions where dogs aren't allowed by entrusting their furry friends to a trusted professional. This campsite has also fitted mobile home terraces with safety barriers, ensuring dogs can't wander off. And there's even a dog park where you can do some agility training with your dog. Pretty awesome, right? More information is available here.
The commitment of this network of campsites has even earned them national and even international awards! I tell you about it below.
Campsites rewarded for their commitment to animals
Sites et Paysages campsites are not only dog-friendly, they are also recognized for their commitment to our four-legged companions. The network has received several awards, including the prestigious QUALIDOG label, a guarantee of quality for the services offered to animals, for 14 campsites.
In 2019, the network won the "French-style Pet Friendly" Trophy. In 2021, Le Petit Bois campsite also received this trophy. More recently, in 2023, Lou P'tit Poun campsite was recognized by the Caravan and Motorhome Club and Alan Rogers Guides & Travel for its commitment to dogs.
Another remarkable example is Camping Le Ventoulou , which I mentioned earlier, and which was recognized by ACSI as the "Best Dog-Friendly Campsite" in 2023. This campsite stands out for its numerous green spaces, dog playgrounds, and marked walking trails. Furthermore, it regularly organizes events and workshops for dogs and their owners, creating a wonderful holiday atmosphere for the campsite's dog lovers. In 2024, it was also recognized by the Caravan and Motorhome Club and the guide publisher Alan Rogers Travel Group , coming in second place in the "Dog-Friendly Campsite" category.
The commitment of the Sites et Paysages campsites goes beyond the facilities and services they have deployed in the campsites. They also participate in major events such as the Animal Expo in Paris, demonstrating their dedication to the animal cause and their desire to stay at the forefront of the needs of dog owners.
One last great commitment to our animals?
The campsite network is a partner of Club Oscar, creator of the #vacancesensemblenfrance solidarity campaign which aims to fight against the abandonment of pets. This campaign, for example, highlights dog-friendly places to show that there are solutions for going on vacation with your dog.
Alongside it, the network has been actively participating for 7 years by returning part of the supplement that you pay for your dog to the Arche des Associations, an organization bringing together several animal protection associations. When you book a stay, your dog supplement funds projects for abandoned dogs.
This initiative demonstrates the network's commitment to actively supporting the animal cause. A BIG congratulations to them and to you: the more you go on vacation with Sites et Paysages, the more you will participate in these great actions.
So ready for a W'oufissimes vacation? The hardest part will certainly be choosing your destination! In Brittany, in the Center Val-de-Loire, in Normandy, in Ardèche, in the Pyrenees… whether you like the mountains, the countryside or the sea, there is something for everyone. You will be welcomed by camping enthusiasts, in often family-run structures where there is a heart and a real sense of welcome!
I'm taking this opportunity to thank the entire network team once again for their commitment to our cause: Bénédicte, Pauline, Léa, Caroline, and all the campsite owners! Together, we're making holidays with your dog more accessible ;)

Hello, I wanted to thank the team for the work done and the access to the information on the site. I don't hesitate to talk about your site around me, it is very useful
great I am a big animal lover and I think it's great to be able to take my little dog with me because I never leave him alone at home and he follows me everywhere where he can't get in I don't go there. So congratulations for this great initiative and thank you to the Sites et Paysages campsites
A big thank you for creating your site which allows us to go to great regions of France and to establishments allowing us to have our little ones with us.
Well done and thank you for this site, it's very very good what you have to offer to the greatest number who struggle to find a place to take their dog on vacation!!! I hope one day to be able to open my guest house with dog park included equestrian stopover for hikers and riders ^^
