Temple of Donon

:

your dog is welcome here

2 hour hike for just over 4 kms with my one year old dog Horus! Lots of climbing and rocks to get to the temple, but the effort is worth it!

The archaeological trail of Donon is a summit which culminates at 1009m at the junction of Alsace and Lorraine, it offers a magical point of view. You can also take pretty pictures at the donon temple with your dog, especially in winter with the snow and frost!

Be careful, on sunny weekends, there are a lot of people, so you have to favor the mornings which are great!

Path very well indicated impossible to get lost. It is shaded most of the time, ideal for hot weather. There are even picnic areas, which is very convenient! My dog was tethered all the way but he had a very long leash. I think it's best to keep dogs on a leash by the way 😉 Also remember to take water and canisacs for your doggie.

The Sentier des Bunkers car park is ideal for starting the ascent of the Donon! 🙂
