:

your dog is welcome here

The Abbey of Valasse in Normandy in Gruchet-le-Valasse is a great place welcoming the majority of dog breeds from the smallest to the largest! They must be kept on a leash. Category 2 dogs are accepted muzzled, category 1 dogs are prohibited.

You can walk with your dog throughout the immense park of the Abbey, on paths along the meadows, the rivers and the fountain...

In hot weather, or if you feel like it, you can bathe your dog in one of the 3 very shallow rivers that border the Abbey!

A little peckish or want a picnic? A cafeteria will welcome you on site with pleasure! You can enjoy ice cream from a very close farm, pastries... Many picnic tables are placed in the very large park.

I usually go to the Parc de l'Abbaye with my 7 month old Border. Access to the park is free, there are 4 car parks, 2 of which close at night. You can come to this place with any animal but it must be kept on a leash. It's a great place to walk around and enjoy the scenery with your dog.
