Estelle and Yéti, two mountain lovers
I am happy to present Estelle and Yéti to you in this new Wow Good Portrait. It's a nice duo of sports fans and totally in love with the mountains. Ski Joering, downhill skiing, ski touring, skating, cani-vtt, cani cross… Estelle and her dog are crazy about pulling sports of all kinds. I leave the floor to Estelle. She introduces us to her adorable Alaskan Malamute. With his white and black fur and his loving face, we want to give him a ton of hugs. I love their story! They are really endearing.
Estelle: it's up to you! 🙂
In love with my dog and the mountains
Yeti, my Alaskan Malamute
Yeti, who bears his first name very well.. is a alaskan malamute 5 years old! I met him when he was 1 and a half years old. His name was then Looki. He had already been abandoned 3 times before me. His former "masters" had chosen Looki for his physique and his appearance. Except that a Nordic dog is a special dog and they hadn't fully understood what that meant. Yeti had therefore developed a bad behavior in an attempt to attract their attention… and each time it was easy to abandon him under false pretexts… I adopted him via an association of abandoned Nordic dogs. Adoption has always been close to my heart! I was not fixed on a particular breed, I wanted to save an animal and I wanted an athletic and enduring dog. A dog that could follow me, withstand the miles, the elevations and withstand the cold!
It is a very particular race which attaches only to its own pack! Other people have no interest in him! His biggest flaw: stubborn! He's a real fool, especially if you want to get something out of him by force. His greatest quality: his very warm fur?! And I'm not talking about his permanent smile!...
Our sporting challenges
Our ultimate dream: to ski on the pack ice together at the Svalbard. But the “real” sporting challenges, I do them alone. My next challenge will be Mont Blanc on skis. I don't want to put my dog in danger and I'm not foolish enough to take Yeti mountaineering or to high altitudes. Some unfortunately do… Otherwise, we are rather wild wolves. We like to be alone in the Alps for the pleasure of the landscapes, the silence...
